Electrowatts Limited was incorporated in 1985 as a wholly Kenyan-owned electrical engineering firm. Over four decades, our founding commitment to reliable power has translated into 500+ installations — serving government ministries, central banks, regional universities, industrial facilities, and UN agencies across East Africa.
Our expertise spans the full spectrum of power demand: diesel generator sets from 5 KVA to 2.5 MW for both prime and standby operations, solar PV systems, wind energy, integrated hybrid power solutions, and certified energy audit services — everything under one roof.
We don't subcontract core work. Our 7,000 sq. metre facility on Butere Road houses a fully equipped workshop for overhaul, servicing, and fabrication. Every project is handled by our own certified engineers — one dedicated team from site assessment to final sign-off.
Electrowatts also maintains an office in Uganda on Bunga Road, Kampala, and operates a registered company in South Sudan, Juba — extending our on-the-ground presence across the region.
Our portfolio extends across Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, and South Sudan — from a 2.5 MW installation for Mumias Sugar Company, to 5 × 1,250 KVA synchronised generators for the Juba Emergency Power Project, to the East African Community Data Centre in Arusha.
